What is scarring and uneven skin texture?

Scarring and uneven skin texture may seem like a permanent feature of your skin, telling stories of past adventures or traumas.

The appearance of uneven skin and scarring is a result of inflammation and trauma. The skin attempts to repair lesions by forming new collagen fibres. This process often results in the malformation of tissue and usually does not appear as smooth as it once did.

After an initial consultation, a comprehensive treatment plan and home prescriptive regime can be customised for each client.

There are many resurfacing treatments designed to remove the scar tissue and to stimulate collagen production like peels, needling, and laser. Like all skin conditions, if the cause of the scarring (dysfunctional skin cells and systems) are not addressed, then the remodelling procedure will just produce the exact same unhealthy tissue.
